Notes

Some terms used in this site demands further explanation that doesn’t fit in the stories so I collected them here.

Farsi

Afghanistan has two official languages, Dari and Pashto. Dari is a dialect of the Persian language. Natively it is referred to as Farsi and everyone, from the time I describe, used that term so Farsi is the term I’m using. Perhaps the transcription can be wrong at times because I only have the spoken word or phrase to go by.

Manioc

Or Cassava is not so much a part of the Afghan cuisine. My contact with Manioc was due to our African neighbours.
