Thanks to Janice Smith, once teacher at the Ahlman Academy, I recently found out that the book is named after the <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/en.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Marco_Polo_sheep\" target=\"_blank\">Marco Polo sheep<\/a>, native to the mountains of the region.
